The eastern Tomakomai area (Tomatoh area) is an industrial zone spanning 10,700 ha in the southern central part of Hokkaido. It is approximately 12 km east of the Tomakomai city center and 60 km south of Sapporo. This area serves as a key transportation hub by land, sea, as well as air, as it is in close proximity to New Chitose Airport.
