Infrastructure Development

Tomatoh is supported by its strongly-established infrastructure, which provides the electricity, natural gas, and water essential for industrial activity.

All your energy needs are easily met in Tomatoh!

The Tomatoh Atsuma Electric Power Station and substations of Hokkaido Electric Power Co., Inc. (HEPCO) assure a steady and reliable power supply. A natural gas pipeline with a valve station, managed by Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX), runs directly through the Tomatoh Area. All your energy needs can be easily secured.

An ample supply of high-quality industrial water

Industrial water in Tomatoh is supplied by the Tomakomai Area No. 2 Industrial Waterworks (Hokkaido Bureau of Public Enterprises). As a general rule, firms are required to discharge industrial wastewater into specified drainage pipes under the prescribed water quality standards.

Great-tasting drinking water

Drinking water is supplied from Tomakomai City, Atsuma Town and Abira Town. Tomakomai's water is naturally filtered, as it deeply permeates the volcanic soil under the Mt Tarumae. At the same time, it's infused with natural minerals. Tomakomai was chosen as one of "32 cities of delicious water" in Japan at the Delicious Water Workshop of the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare.
