The Tomakomai Tohbu Area (“Tomatoh Area”) is located about 12 km east of Tomakomai city center, in southern central Hokkaido about 60 km south of Sapporo. Spanning 9 km east to west and 12 km north to south, this industrial area covers a total area of 10,700 ha -- 1.7 times the area enclosed by the Yamanote Line in Tokyo.

High-standard roads traverse the industrial area, connecting to Tomakomai Port’s east port area and New Chitose Airport, providing excellent transportation access by land, sea, and air. The industrial area contains 3,200 ha of protected green space, and continues to be developed in harmony with nature.

Tomatoh is an industrial area with excellent transportation access.
Located approximately 17 km (20 min. by car) from New Chitose Airport, it is directly connected to major cities both domestically and internationally.

It is also adjacent to Tomakomai Port (West Port Zone and East Port Zone), which boasts the highest domestic cargo volume in Japan. The port offers extensive regular shipping routes and ferry services to both domestic and international destinations.

By land, Tomatoh is located about 8 km from Tomakomai-Higashi IC on the Hokkaido Expressway, and there are three interchanges within the area on the Hidaka Expressway. National Routes 36, 234, and 235 run through and around the region, providing excellent connectivity. JR Freight Tomakomai Kamotsu Station is also only 9 km away, enabling nationwide rail transportation.
